An early prototype of one of the most enduring film genres: the fight picture. Mike Leonard was popularly known at the time as "Professor Mike Leonard:" An example of how the honorific "professor" is bestowed on those with extraordinary abilities or physical strength. While fight pictures were to become a popular Hollywood genre, boxing would not be part of Hollywood's college campus, where football would become the preferred sport of collegians.
